Bhubaneswar: The faith of people of Odisha in governance and administration has strengthened because of an accessible, approachable and decisive government in the state, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Tuesday.
After launching BJP’s membership drive from the Odisha Capital, CM said that leaders, CMs and common people from across the country are expressing surprise with the volume of grievances being heard and redressed at the CM’s cell in Odisha.
Majhi added, “All this has been possible for the guidance of the Central leadership and conviction of the state government to work for the people. The double-engine is a people’s government in which development will speed up to empower people and build a new Odisha.”
At the launch event, Deputy CMs Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Ministers of the state government, BJP MLAs, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal, and state BJP in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar renewed their BJP membership along with other leaders of the party.
The state unit of the saffron party has set an ambitious target to enrol one crore members during the mega membership drive. Multiple options are available for becoming a member of the BJP but the missed call option is more easier, said Samal.
Persons above 18 years of age interested to become a member of the saffron party can give a missed call to toll-free number 8800002024. This option is available across the country after 5 pm on Monday, the party’s state leadership stated.
