Sambalpur: Police busted a fake counterfeit note racket and arrested six persons in the city on Sunday.
Police seized counterfeit currency notes of the denomination of Rs 2,000, Rs 500 and Rs 100 amounting to Rs 13 lakh from the arrested persons. Two of them belong to Chhattisgarh and four others to Bargarh district, police said.
Apart from this, police also seized a counterfeit note manufacturing machine and some papers from their possession.
As the investigation is underway, police did not reveal the identity of the accused.
