Rourkela: Police, on Saturday, arrested a person for allegedly leading a racket that cheated people on the pretext of providing jobs.
The accused has been identified as Bidyadhar Panda, a resident of Banapur in Khurda district.
Panda was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by four girls who were interviewed by the accused in a hotel in Rourkela.
According to information, police raided a hotel where the accused was taking interview of the girls.
The matter came to the light after one of the guardians of the victims accompanying them alerted police about suspicious behaviour of the accused while taking the interview. However, three other accused managed to flee the spot.
Several fake documents were seized from the accused. The police have launched a manhunt to nab the three others.
