Kendrapara: One person was detained and raw materials worth lakhs of rupees were seized after police busted a fake tea-manufacturing unit at Kharda Sahi under Chandol police station limits of Kendrapara on Monday.
The detained person was allegedly engaged in the unit but its owner is absconding.
Sources said that on being tipped off by reliable sources about the sale of duplicate products in the area, Chandol police raided the house in Kharda Sahi and found a huge cache of adulterated tea and other raw materials. Further investigations are on.
