Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped to 105 on Monday against 189 the previous day.
The state had reported 193 cases on Saturday, 270 on Friday, 252 on Thursday, and 237 on Wednesday.
Among the new cases, 19 are in the 0-18 age group, which is 18 per cent of the total reported cases.
According to the I & PR department, 62 are from quarantine and 43 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest of 48 new cases, followed by Mayurbhanj (10). Fifteen districts saw nil cases.
Besides, 12 are from the state pool.
With these cases being detected from 50,267 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.20 per cent. The TPR was 0.31 per cent Sunday, 0.32 per cent on Saturday, 0.47 per cent on Friday, 0.43 per cent on Thursday, and 0.38 per cent on Wednesday.
While the affected tally has touched 10,50,354, Odisha now has 2,205 active cases.
Notably, the Centre had recently rapped the state for rising COVID cases and a decline in the number of tests.
