Rourkela: To fight COVID-19, Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) established a 780-bed COVID Care Centre here. The RMC also formed one dedicated Covid Registration Centre in the Multi Purpose Building premises at BPUT, Rourkela, according to a tweet from H&FW department, Government of Odisha.
Till date, a total of 6,128 Covid Care Homes are operational in 6,798 Gram Panchayats in Odisha. In all these centres, 61,410 beds have been arranged to provide COVID-19 health services.
Meanwhile, in a high level meeting, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the COVID-19 management of the state and emphasised on the facilities given to the patients and their safety. The chief minister also directed to strengthen monitoring in districts like Ganjam, Cuttack, Jajpur, Sundargarh and Khurda.
