Balangir SP Rishikesh Khilari banned shooting of Odia films in the Maoist-infested areas of Khurpani and Sapmund for the safety of the film crew. “We have advised them against shooting in the core areas. We have a camp and teams at Harishankar and they have been allowed to shoot there or elsewhere in the district. This is a standard procedure,” the SP told a local channel.
The crew was asked against shooting in specific villages when it sought permission.
While the crew of Sabyasachi Mishra’s ‘Randi Pua Ananta’ returned from the remote areas where movement of Maoists is often reported, shooting is currently on at Khaprakhol Adarsha Vidyalaya, sources added.
