Paradip: Coal handling works in Paradip Port came to a halt after a massive fire broke out at the mechanical coal handling plant in the prohibited zone of the port on Saturday night.
However, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
Sources said some machines have been reduced to ashes.
The fire is suspected to have broken out due to the repair and welding works being undertaken in the area.
Fire personnel were engaged in putting off the flames. More details are awaited.
