Rourkela: Several electronic equipment and electrical appliances were reduced to ashes in a fire at Rourkela Steel Plant late on Sunday/
According to sources, the fire suddenly broke out in the SMS-II Slag Boiler late in the night. On being informed, two fire brigade units rushed to the plan. It took them two hours to douse the flames.
There was no report of any loss of life in the incident.
The RSP CEO, Dipak Chattaraj, told the media that he has asked the four chief general managers (CGMs) to probe the incident and submit a report.
