Mumbai: A fire broke out at Deepika Padukone’s apartment complex, Beumonde Towers, on Appasaheb Marathe Marg in Mumbai’s Worli area on Wednesday.
According to sources, 16 fire engines, five water tankers and 108 ambulances were rushed to the spot. Mumbai Fire Brigade sources informed that the fire was reported at 2:16 pm on the 33rd floor of the sea-facing skyscraper. No casualties have been reported.
Deepika Padukone, whose house is on the 26th floor of Tower B of the building, is among the many celebrities who owns a flat in the complex. The actor was on the set of a brand shoot at the time of the incident. Confirming her safety, she tweeted, “I am safe. Thank You everyone. Let us pray for our firefighters who are at site risking their lives.”
