Bhadrak: A local fisherman caught a 5-foot-long fish, weighing around 30 kg, from the Baitarini near Piteipur in Sohada panchayat under Dhamnagar block in Odisha’s Bhadrak district last evening.
According to sources, the huge fish was trapped in the net of one Ashok Tarai, a local fisherman, due to the rise in the river’s water level following rains over the last few days. It is locally known as ‘Saranta’.
As soon as the news spread, a large crowd gathered at the spot to see the gigantic fish.
