New Delhi: Bypolls to three Lok Sabha seats and 30 assembly constituencies in various states will be held on October 30, the Election Commission (EC) announced on Tuesday. The counting of votes will take place on November 2.
The seats where Lok Sabha by-elections will be held are Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh and Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh.
The assembly bypolls will be held in 14 states. Of these, five bypolls will be held in Odisha’s neighbouring states of West Bengal (four) and Andhra Pradesh (one).
Of the others, five seats are in Assam, three each are in Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, two each in Bihar, Karnataka and Rajasthan and one each in Haryana, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Nagaland and Telangana.
