Nuapada: Jonk police busted an IPL betting racket with the arrest of five persons from Khariar Road area in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Tuesday night.
The arrested persons are residents of Chhattisgarh.
According to sources, they were apprehended from a house at Khariar Road during a raid by a team led by sub-inspector Arabinda Meher of Jonk police station. Twenty-one mobile phones, 4 laptops, five bank passbooks, 15 ATM cards, 10 cheque books of different accounts in separate banks, two air bags and a notebook were seized from their possession.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
