Bhubaneswar: Five days after the brutal murder of a sweet stall owner in Samantarapur area in the city, the Lingaraj Police on Friday arrested five more accused.
The arrested have been identified as Dilip Behera, his father Bauria Behera and his wife. Besides, two other accused Rashmi Ranjan Barik and Satya Ranjan Barik, who had helped the arrested persons abscond after the murder, have been arrested from Puri. Dilip’s son Raja had surrendered before the police on Thursday.
However, the prime accused is still at large, police said adding that the murder was a fallout of a long-standing business rivalry.
The incident had taken place in the afternoon of October 4 when two bike-borne miscreants chased the sweet stall owner Sambhu Sahu and killed him on the spot with a sharp weapon.
