Jeypore: A team from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is likely to inspect Jeypore Airport in Odisha’s Koraput district on July 22 before giving final clearance for operation of commercial flights at the airport under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik) scheme.
“A DGCA team is likely to inspect the airport on July 22 before granting licence to operationalise the airport,” Koraput district Collector Abdaal M Akhtar informed.
Akhtar visited the Jeypore airport on Tuesday ahead of the DGCA team’s visit.
“They had one or two points for compliance. Today I came here to review that. We are hopeful that by July 21 evening all that is required to be complied with will be completed and the DGCA will give the all-clear for commercial flight operations at Jeypore,” he said.
