Koraput: Body of a former sarpanch was found half-buried in a farmland at Talagumandi village under Narayanpatna block in Odisha’s Koraput district on Friday.
The deceased, Singuru Tadingi (32), was the former sarpanch of Talagumandi gram panchayat.
According to sources, Tadingi went to his farmland on Thursday but did not return home last night. Following which, his family members began a frantic search for him and found his half-buried body in a farmland this morning.
It is being suspected that he was murdered over past enmity and his body later buried in the farmland late last night.
Meanwhile, police have reached the spot and begun a probe.
