Angul: Police on Sunday detained four members of a family on charges of running a sex racket at Geetagram in Angul district.
A couple and their two sons were picked up from a rented house from where the sex racket had allegedly being operating since a long time.
Two sex workers were rescued and Rs 50, 000 in cash and some objectionable items seized from the spot.
According to police sources, the raid was conducted around 12:30 pm on the basis of a specific tip-off regarding the sex racket. The detainees hail from Sikhyakpada in the district, while those rescued are from Sambalpur district.
They are being questioned, the sources added.
