Bhubaneswar: An unidentified fraudster is allegedly trying to cheat people and extract money from them by using the photo and name of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Zone-5 in Bhubaneswar, Sanjeev Satpathy.
Sharing this information on his Facebook account, the ACP said that he has received complaints that someone who has opened a fake account using his picture and name is trying to sell used household articles to different people.
The fraudster is identifying himself as ACP Satpathy and inducing friends to talk to a person who is from the Indian army and wants to sell his used household articles following his transfer.
Some people have even sent money to the fraudster thinking that he is the ACP, he said, urging people to ignore if they receive any such message in messenger. People ignore such messages and stay away from the fraudster.
