New Delhi: Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was detained in the United States on Monday, India Today TV reported quoting sources.

Anmol, who like Lawrence is a dreaded gangster and is wanted in India for a number of high-profile murder cases, has been taken into custody in California.

Anmol, who fled India last year, became a leading operative in the Bishnoi gang’s criminal network following the arrest of Lawrence.

Anmol is wanted in criminal cases such as the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022, last month’s murder of ex-Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, and the shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence.

Mumbai Police’s crime branch recently initiated extradition process of Anmol.
