Ganja Worth Rs 1.5 Crore, 2 Guns Seized In Odisha’s Kandhamal

Phulbani: A huge quantity of ganja worth Rs 1.5 crore and two country-made guns were seized by police at Musukuli village under Baliguda police limits of Odisha’s Kandhamal district.

As per information, patrolling has been intensified by the police to check illegal and criminal activities in the area ahead of the elections.

Acting on a tip-off about a huge quantity of ganja kept in a forest area, a police team raided a place and seized more than 16 quintals of ganja and two country-made guns. However, ganja smugglers fled the site before the raid.

Preliminary investigation showed that ganja dealers were planning to collect bags full of ganja in the forest and smuggle it out. However, who is behind the smuggling of these cannabis is yet to be ascertained
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
