New Delhi: Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who is also BJP MP approached Delhi Police on Tuesday night alleging he had received death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’, police officials said.
DCP Central Shweta Chauhan said police have swung into action and an investigation is underway in the matter. Meanwhile, security has been beefed up outside Gautam Gambhir’s Rajendra Nagar residence, India Today reported.
The threats were sent to the cricketer-turned-politician in the form of emails. Other details regarding the threats are yet to be ascertained. Police will take further action after investigation, including verification of the e-mail address from which the threat letter was sent to Gambhir.
