One of the world’s most popular motoring expos, Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to be held from March 5, has been cancelled.
The Government of Switzerland has banned large scale events with more than 1,000 people as nine cases of Coronavirus have been detected in the country. Neighbouring Italy is the worst hit in Europe with 21 dead and 888 confirmed positive cases so far.
This would have been the 90th edition of the Geneva Motor Show, which is held every year in March. Many carmakers including Indian companies unveil their new products here. The Tata Altroz was showcased for the first time here last year.
