Jajpur: A girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by a group of miscreants for 28 days inside a house in Jajpur district.
The matter came to the fore on Sunday after the girl, who was thrown into Kharasrota river, managed to swim ashore and reached Routpur village under Kuakhia police limits in the district.
After reaching the village, the victim narrated her ordeal. She was allegedly abducted by some unknown persons on August 20 from Madhuban Bazaar. She was later taken to a house where the accused took turns to rape her.
A complaint in this regard has been lodged at the local police station on the basis of the statements of the victim and her family members.
