Keonjhar: In a brave though dangerous act, a Plus II girl student went to appear at the CHSE examination despite being bitten by a snake in Odisha’s Keonjhar district on Saturday.

According to sources, the student, Lipsa Rani Sahoo of Dadhibabanpur village under Anandpur police limits, had gone to the backyard of her house before leaving for the examination in the morning. While she was in the backyard, she was bitten by a snake.

But Lipsa did not inform about the snake-bite to her family members in order not to miss the examination conducted by the Councial of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). She went all alone to Anandapur College to appear at the examination. While she was writing the examination, she felt nauseous and uneasy.

After Lipsa told the teachers and invigilators in the examination about the snake-bite and her uneasy condition, she was rushed to Anandapur sub-divisional hospital. Her condition was not stable, the hospital sources said.

On being informed, her family members reached the hospital to take cafe of her. Later, one of them told the media that Lipsa said she was bitten by a black coloured snake in the backyard of her house.
