Bhubaneswar: There’s good news for people in Bhubaneswar.
Those who are interested in getting the Covishield vaccine in the capital city can get the jab at Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital here.
According to the hospital’s Medical Superintendent Prof. Pusparaj Samantarsinhar, the vaccine will be administered as per rules laid down by the authorities.
Each dose will cost Rs 780, as fixed by the Union government.
IMS and SUM Hospital, one of the few medical centres in the country chosen for clinical trials of the Covaxin, has been providing the vaccine since January 16 when the countrywide vaccination programme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
More than 20,000 people have been administered Covaxin at the hospital till the end of May, according to Dr Lipilekha Patnaik, Professor in the Community Medicine department and Nodal Officer for vaccination programme.
