New Delhi: Calendars, diaries, schedulers and other similar items, which were earlier printed in physical format, will now be done digitally for use in the coming year.

The Government of India has decided to follow this best practice, given the prevailing circumstances in which the world is increasingly moving towards adopting digital force-multipliers for productivity,

According to a Ministry of Finance notification, publication of Coffee Table books will also be stopped and use of E-Books will be encouraged.

All Ministries/Departments/PSUs/PSBs and other organs of the government have been advised to adopt innovative means to use digital or online methods. Innovative digital and online solutions which will achieve the same result as physical calendars or diaries must be prioritized and be put into practice without delay.
