Bhubaneswar: Labour minister Sushant Singh on Friday said the government has set a target to register 25 lakh labourers working at various construction sites in the state under Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board during 2017-18.
The minister said the government has also decided to extend an assistance of Rs 600 crore to registered construction workers. Besides, houses for them being constructed under the recently launched rental housing scheme ‘Ashraya’ will be completed by May 2018, he added.
