Bhubaneswar: Minister, W & CD and Mission Shakti , SS & EPD , MS & ME, Prafulla Samal inaugurated Grishma Utsav, 2018 in the presence of Tourism and Culture Mister Ashok Chandra Panda here in the city on Friday.
The Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department in association with the Odisha Sangeeta Nataka Akademi, Odisha Tourism and the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) organised the three-day festival.
The main attraction of the event was the cultural performance of Ollywood singing sensation Ira Mohanty whose performance gave a melodious atmosphere to the evening.
A group of the Odisha Dance Academy performed on the occasion.
The festival will witness food stalls and ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society) which creates different marketing channels for the micro enterprise rural producers to develop sustainable livelihood through adopting appropriate rural technology, product development.
MP Dr Prasanna Kumar Patasani was present as the guest of honour. MLAs Debi Prasad Mishra, Bijay Kumar Mohanty and Priyadarshi Mishra, Commissioner-Cum-Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Cultural Department, Manoranjan Panigrahy, Director Bijaya Kumar Nayak , and Odisha Sangeeta Natak Akademi Secretary Dr Bijaya Kumar Jena were present, among others.
