Bhubaneswar: In the run-up to first World Odia Language Conference, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre in Bhubaneswar will organise a two-day conference on “Odia Language and Odisha’s Art and Culture on February 1 and 2.
Several eminent linguists, researchers, litterateurs, experts, singers and dancers will participate in the research-based discussion during the conference to be held in the research centre’s auditorium. There will be two sessions on both days with one from 11 am to 2 pm and the second from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Dr Babaji Pattnaik and Dr Krishna Keshab Sarangi will speak on the first day of the conference which will be presided by Dr Basant Panda and Dr Kirtan Narayan Padhi.
On the second day of the discussion, Dr Santyanu Rath and Dr Ajay Mishra have been invited as speakers while Dr Sarat Chandra Rath and Dr Sanghamitra Mishra will preside.
It may be noted that the state government will organise first ever Biswa Odia Bhasha Sammilani (World Odia Language Conference) from February 3 to 5 in the capital city.
