Sambalpur: A man was arrested for allegedly trying to sell fake gold ornaments at a jewellery shop at Kuchinda in Sambalpur district.
He has been identified as Yogesh Chouhan, a native of Haryana.
According to sources, Yogesh approached the shop to sell some ornaments. When the salesman asked him for the receipt of the ornaments, he declined. The salesman then examined the ornaments and found those to be fake.
On being informed, police reached the spot and arrested Yogesh. Two necklaces, two mobile phones, and Rs 2000 were seized from his possession.
The police is suspecting involvement of more people in the fraud.
