Bhawanipatna: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday nabbed a male health worker of a community health centre (CHC) in Kalahandi district while accepting bribe from a person for providing job.
According to a release of Vigilance department, the health worker, Anil Kumar Senapati, working in Duarsuni sub-centre under CHC Borda had demanded Rs 30,000 from Upendra Behera of Jamunasagar under Bhawanipatna Sadar police station for appointment of his wife Sabhyarani Behera as Asha worker.
After Upendra filed a complaint in this regard, the Vigilance officials laid a trap and nabbed Anil while accepting the bribe. They also seized the entire bribe money from the possession of the accused.
Koraput Vigilance has registered a case in this connection.
