Jajpur: A health worker of Jajpur Municipality succumbed to COVID-19, official sources said on Sunday.

According to the municipal authorities, the health worker, Lokesh Panda, was engaged to monitor the COVID care centres in Jajpur Municipality limits. He was given the responsibility to visit COVID-19 positive patients at their homes.
Panda belonged to Sasanpada under Binjharpur block of the district. Before being deployed in Jajpur town, he was working as a health worker in Binjharpur. He was shifted to Jajpur Municipality considering his efficiency.
The district administration had condoled the death of the frontline health worker.
