Bhubaneswar: While the temperature has come down drastically across Odisha since the last 48 hours due to a change in the weather condition, the local Met office here has predicted a sharp rise in temperature from next week.
According to an evening release by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar on Friday, the temperature remained below 40 degree Celsius in almost all parts of the state. Barring Sundargarh (39), Malkangiri, Titlagarh (38.5) and Bhawanipatna (38), which remained close to 40 degrees, the remaining places recorded moderate temperature.
The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 35.4 and 37.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
The release also has warned of a thunderstorm and lightning at one or two places in the coastal and interior districts in the next 24 hours till April 24. However, there is no such warning for April 23, the release added.
