Bhubaneswar: Many parts of Odisha are likely to be battered by heavy to very heavy rain over the next three days under the influence of the low pressure area formed in the region.
In a weather bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said on Monday that the low pressure area formed yesterday now lies over north interior Odisha and adjoining south Jharkhand.
The low pressure area is very likely to move toward north Madhya Pradesh during the next two days.
Several parts of Odisha are expected to experience heavy rainfall activities in the next few days. Orange and yellow warnings have also been issued for some districts by the MeT Centre.
Day-1: (Valid up to 8.30 am of 27.06.23.)
Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20cm) is likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and at one or two places over Nuapada, Balangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Angul, Deogarh and Keonjhar.
Day-2: (Valid from 8.30 am of 27.06.23 to 8.30 am of 28.06.23)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts.
Day-3: (Valid from 8.30 am of 28.06.23 to 8.30 am of 29.06.23)
Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall(7 to 11cm) is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Mayurbhanj districts.
