Bhubaneswar: With the well-marked low pressure moving westward, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued heavy rainfall warning for 14 districts in Odisha.

The IMD said in a mid-day bulletin that the well-marked low pressure over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal is all set to move westwards across West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar during the next 36 hours.

Under its influence, there will be heavy rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall in the north coastal and interior districts for three days till July 31.

IMD has also advised fishermen not to venture into sea along and off Odisha coast and north Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours as squally weather with surface wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph will make the sea condition very rough.

In view of the heavy rainfall, yellow warning has been issued for the following districts:

Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj and Balasore.

Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul,  Deogarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh and Jharsuguda.

July 30
Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh,  Sambalpur, Balangir and Nuapada.

July 31
