Bhubaneswar: Odisha may continue to experience heavy to very heavy rain till July 27, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Tuesday.
The weather agency has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall (7 to 20 cm) at one or two places in Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Boudh and Kendrapada on July 23. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) may also occur at one or two places in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Ganjam, Nuapada and Sonepur.
Bhubaneswar may experience partly cloudy sky with possibility of moderate rain or thundershowers.
On July 24, heavy to very heavy rainfall may continue one or two places in Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Bhadrak districts. Heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) is also likely at one or two places in Dhenkanal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Angul, Deogarh and Jajpur.
Heavy to very heavy rain may occur at one or two places in Nabarangpur and Kalahandi during the subsequent 24 hours. There is also a forecast for heavy rain at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack and Nayagarh districts.
On July 26, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Gajapati, Rayagada and Koraput districts. Heavy rain may also lash one or two places in Malkangiri, Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh.
The intensity of rain is likely to decrease thereafter with yellow warning for heavy rain at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Jharsuguda districts.
Though there is no weather warning thereafter, light to moderate rain/thundershower may continue at many places across the state during the next two days, it added.
