Heavy To Very Heavy Rain To Lash Odisha During 5 Days; Yellow Warning By IMD

Bhubaneswar: Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to pound several parts of Odisha during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.

In its midday weather bulletin, the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar said that light to moderate rain and thundershower will take place in most parts of Odisha for at least a week.

Issuing yellow warning for the next 24 hours in some areas, it said heavy rain (7 to 11cm) is likely to occur at one or two places of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Balangir, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurda, and Bargarh during the period.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rain may occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur and heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) at some places of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapada.

Yellow Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of Kendrapada, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul and heavy rainfall (7 to 11cm) at one or two places of Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Sambalpur, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar districts.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rain (7 to 11cm) may occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and Malkangiri.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rain (7 to 11cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Jharsuguda.
