Bhubaneswar: Navratri has started and Dandiya fever has gripped the Odisha capital. Several hotels and organisations have started hosting Dandiya nights, which are held every year during the Navratri festival.
Many people, especially youngsters throng the Dandiya venues with colourful traditional costumes and bamboo sticks.
Dandiya Nights At Dolphin Garden In Patia
Dandiya Mahotsav, 2019 will be held at Dolphin Garden in Patia from October 4 to 8 every year from 6 pm to 10 pm. RR Events is organising this Mahotsav.
Singers Navya, Barnali Hota, Jyoti Nayak, Ananya, Suchitra will perform on the occasion, informed RR Events president Ramesh Barik.
Besides, actors Ragini, Depika, Abhisek, Mantu and Tapu Mishra will also participate.
Artists from Rajasthan will also present on the occasion.
Raas Garba, 2019 In HHI
To create a festive mood in the city and surroundings, Hotel Hindusthan International (HHI), Bhubaneswar will also celebrate ‘Raas Garba-2019’ in association with the event company ‘Entertain Events’.
It will be celebrated for five days from October 3 to 7.
The function will start at 7 pm and will continue till 10:30 pm.
The main attractions will be non-stop garba with Garba Dance troupe, Emcee, noted singers, musical band, DJ and lots of surprise gifts.
The entry ticket for the function will be Rs 899 and Rs 1499.
Dandiya Festival In Nayapalli
National Integration Dandiya festival will be held from October 3 at 7 pm at Laxmi Puja Ground near Kalinga Stadium Traffic Square in Nayapalli here for six days.
Odisha International Centre (OIC) is organising this festival since the last 14 years.
This year, OIC has changed the venue of Dandiya nights. OIC has been organising the festival in Janta Maidan every year.
The entry to the Dandiya nights in Nayapalli is free of cost.
Dandiya Fest In OTDC, Panthanivas
This is the first time, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) will host Dandiya festival at Pantha Nivas in Odisha capital from October 5 to 7.
The entry fee for a single person is Rs 699 and for a couple, the price is Rs 1,299.
The specialty of the festival is the variety of cuisines from different parts of the state.
Mokshya dance group will perform on the occasion.
Dandiya Nights At Exhibition Ground
‘Prayas’ is organising Dandiya nights at the Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar from October 4 to 8.
This is Prayas’s eighth edition of Dandiya festival. The event will be organised for all age groups. The entry fee is 150 per person.
Prizes will be given to the best dancer, best couple, best costume, best child dancer etc.
Besides, Dandiya nights will be held in many restaurants and hotels, including Mayfair Convention and Hotel Pushpak and different societies.
