Mumbai: The COVID-19 patients in Maharashtra’s Osmanabad are getting their oxygen fix while sitting on the chair as more patients are coming in with similar issues.
The Osmanabad District Hospital seems to have run out of beds and cellphone clips recorded by witnesses show that patients are made to sit on the chair as nurses do their best to help as many people as possible.
The district reported 681 fresh COVID-19 cases and seven casualties in the last 24 hours — adding to Maharashtra’s new record of over 63,000 infections on Sunday.
Osmanabad, with 4,300 cases, was among the districts flagged for issues with its medical oxygen supply. The other places in the state like Pune, Palghar and Bhandara were also marked by the experts from the central government.
