Here’s a quick look at BJP candidates who are leading in key constituencies that witnessed marquee electoral battles:

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh:
BJP’s Pragya Singh Thakur is leading from Bhopal against Digvijaya Singh of the Congress.

Begusarai, Bihar:
BJP’s Giriraj Singh won by a margin of 3.94 lakh votes, defeating his nearest rival Kanhaiya Kumar of the CPI.

Asansol, West Bengal:
BJP’s Babul Supriyo has defeated his nearest rival Moon Moon Sen of the Trinamool Congress by a margin of over 98,000 votes.

Amethi, Uttar Pradesh:
Smriti Irani was ahead of Rahul Gandhi in Amethi by 20,000 votes.

Patna Sahib, Bihar:
Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP) was ahead of Shatrughan Sinha (Congress) by 1,33,959 votes.

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was leading in Varanasi by a margin of 1.22 lakh votes.

Gurdaspur, Punjab:
BJP’s Sunny Deol had surged ahead with a healthy lead over his nearest rival, the Congress’ Sunil Jakhar.

Mumbai-North:
BJP’s Gopal Shetty was leading with 2.83 lakh votes over the Congress’ Urmila Matondkar.

East Delhi:
BJP’s Gautam Gambhir was ahead of the AAP’s Atishi.

Chandigarh:
BJP candidate and sitting MP Kirron Kher was ahead of her nearest rival and Congress nominee Pawan Kumar Bansal.
