Puri: Adhara Pana, the ritual of offering 100 litres of Pana (sweet drink) to the sibling deities of Jagannath Temple here in specially-made terracotta pots on their chariots, will be held on Thursday (Trayadasi Tithi).
Schedule:
Thursday morning began with Mangala Alati ritual from 6 am to 6.30 am. Mailam ritual was held at 7 am, Abakasa at 8 am and Gopala Ballabha ( morning breakfast of the deities) ritual at 10.30 am.
After Sakala Dhupa (morning food offerings), Jatrangi Mahasnana and Sarbanga, Madhyanna Dhupa (deities enjoy a siesta) ritual will be held from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
Adhara Pana ritual is likely to conclude by 8 pm.
The Mahasnan (a ritual for purification) will conclude by 9 pm.
Mailama (removal of dress, flowers, Tulasi of the previous day) and Besalagi (changing of clothes) will be held at 10 pm.
Sandhya Alati will be held at 10.30 pm, following which, Sandhya Dhupa will be held from 11 pm to 12 am.
Badasinhara Besha (the last bhoga of the day) will be held at 1 am.
After Bada Sinhara Bhoga, Ratra Pahuda (bedsteads of the deities are arranged) will be conducted at 2 am.
