Rourkela: The Steel City, which is co-hosting the FIH Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 with Bhubaneswar, will also see a string of entertainment programmes off the field.
The celebration, which has engulfed the city with India winning its opener against Spain on Friday, will extend to Sector 13, Melan Padia, hosting night bazaar, food court, storytelling, amusement park, sports and music from January 14-22.
At least 25 eminent artistes, including a number of popular Bollywood stars, are all set to perform live at the fest between 4 pm to 11 pm every day. There is ticketed entry to the concert, which will begin at 7 pm.

The city denizens can visit other zones for free. Tickets for the amusement park can be purchased on the spot.
Rourkela will host 20 matches of the hockey world cup at the new Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium till January 28, and a large number of hockey enthusiasts are expected to visit the city to witness the event.
