Bhubaneswar: Having decided to invite chief ministers of all states to the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 in Odisha, Naveen Patnaik is sending out invitations through his Cabinet colleagues.
State minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak met Puducherry CM Thiru N Rangaswami on Wednesday evening to hand over Naveen’s invitation for the prestigious World Cup to be held at Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from January 13 to 29.
Prafulla Kumar Mallik, another Odisha minister, travelled to Patna to extend Naveen’s World Cup invitation to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Information & Public Relations Department, Odisha government, was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, another minister Rajendra Dholakia met Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot at Jaipur to hand over Naveen’s World Cup invitation.
Earlier in the day, Odisha minister Ashok Chandra Panda formally invited Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Reddy on Naveen’s behalf.
