Bhubaneswar: With 79 H3N2 influenza virus cases till March 4, the Puducherry government on Wednesday announced holiday for all schools up to Class VIII from March 16 to March 26.
Home and Education Minister A Nammasivayam informed the Assembly that the order will be in force for schools, including privately-managed institutions and government-aided schools from primary class to Class VIII, in all the four regions of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam in the Union Territory to curb the spread of flu, especially among children, the PTI reported.
