New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi on August 18 for post-COVID treatment has been discharged, the medical facility said on Monday.
Amit Shah was admitted to AIIMS for the second time after complaining fatigue and body aches, a few days after he was discharged from hospital. This was after he tested negative for COVID-19.
“Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, is admitted at AIIMS, New Delhi for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged in a short time,” the AIIMS had said via a statement on Saturday.
It may be recalled that the 55-year-old had taken to Twitter on August 2 to announce that he had tested positive for the deadly virus. Shah had undergone treatment at Medanta Hospital and was discharged after testing negative.
