Bhubaneswar: The Home Ministry has given its green signal for construction of chariots at Ratha Khala (workshop for chariot construction) in Puri for Rath Yatra with certain conditions.
The Ministry has set the condition that no religious congregation or activities will be allowed at the Ratha Khala during the construction work. Complete segregation of Ratha Khala should be ensured.
Secondly, all the guidelines for enforcement of lockdown will be followed by everybody at the place, the Ministry directed.

The Odisha Government had written to the Central Government seeking direction on the matter on Wednesday. However, the Home Ministry left it to the State Government to take a decision on Rath Yatra scheduled on June 23.
