Huge Cache Of Ganja Seized In Balangir, One Held

Balangir: A huge cache of ganja was seized at Gudbhela under Tushura police limits in Balangir district late on Monday.

A person was detained for allegedly possessing the banned substance and seized a vehicle used for the purpose.

According to sources, a team of Tushura police during patrolling noticed suspicious activities by a group of people travelling in an SUV and intercepted them. On searching the vehicle, the patrolling team found a huge cache of unknown consignment stashed in packets.

However, the driver managed to escape during raid.

In a similar seizure, on July 15, police seized around 500 kg of ganja from a container truck in Chitrakonda area of Malkangiri district and arrested three persons in this connection.
