‘I Asked Him To Stop,’ Says Wife Of Alleged ISIS Terrorist Held In Delhi

New Delhi: The suspected ISIS terrorist, who was arrested from Delhi on Friday night had been warned against storing gunpowder and other explosive materials in his Balrampur house in Uttar Pradesh, reported Hindustan Times (HT).

His wife told ANI that she had warned Mohd Mustakeem Khan, 36, alias Abu Yusuf, against doing so but he told her not to stop him.

According to the policeKhan planned to carry out terror strikes in Delhi on the instruction of his handlers in Afghanistan. His wife said she wished her husband could be forgiven. “I have four kids. Where will I go?” ANI quoted her as saying.

Khan’s father Kafeel Ahmed said that his son was a “very good person” who never fought with anyone and that he never imagined he would take to terrorism, HT reported quoting a news channel.

Ahmed further said that he had no his son was collecting explosive material otherwise he would not have allowed him to stay in his, HT quoted from a PTI report.

A Special Cell team of Delhi Police on Saturday took Khan to his village, Badhya Bhaksai in Balrampur district, to verify the claims he had made, a top UP police officer said, according to news agency PTI.
