Bhubaneswar: The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has invited artists from all walks of life to share their experience about the coronavirus pandemic at a competition titled ‘United against CORONA- Express through Art’.

The competition will be held in cyberspace, where everyone can be together while being apart.

According to Minakshi Mishra, Director ICCR, Regional Head Odisha, the competition is open to amateur and professional artists of all age groups. There will be four categories — Contemporary Art, Folk & Tribal Art, Cartoons & Illustrations and Digital & New Age Art.

Those interested need to fill up a form available on www.iccr.gov.in and send high-resolution photographs (upto a maximum 10MB) of their art work to ICCR by May 1, 2020.

Participants can submit their theme-based art revolving around emotions, ideas, and thoughts on COVID-19 through paintings and digital art.

Contestants participating in painting category can use oil paints, water colours, pencil, crayons on canvas or paper, while those in digital art category can use only graphic posters and paintings.

If selected, participants will be asked to courier their art work after the lockdown is lifted.
