Bhubaneswar: A supervisor of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) in Kandhamal was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance for allegedly accepting Rs 5,000 bribe from an Anganwadi worker to facilitate release of her enhanced salary.
The accused, identified as Sailabala Sahu and posted as supervisor, ICDS Phiringia, was caught while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5000/- from an Anganwadi worker for facilitating release of her enhanced salary as well as other material facilities like uniform etc.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the possession of accused Sahu and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sahu from DA angle.
In this connection, a case has been registered and investigation is in progress.
